Cheap and boring (good!), but need “something” to unlock value
Israel-based but Belgium-listed, Payton Planar Magnetics ($PAY.BR) is a US$140 million company that designs and manufactures high-performance magnetic components, specialising in fully customised solutions for a wide range of industries.1
Listed on what today is Euronext since 1998, $PAY.BR is 66% owned by parent company Payton Industries ($PAYT.TA), itself listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange with a market cap of US$120 million; the rest is free float. The group includes the fully owned subsidiaries Payton America Inc. and Himag Planar Magnetics in the UK, plus a 20% interest in Hong-Kong holding company PCT Industries that fully owns a manufacturing subsidiary in China. It also has sales offices in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and India.
